A Public Health Initiative in One of Europe’s Wealthiest Countries

April 22, 2026

Recently, a public lecture on skin cancer and breast cancer prevention was successfully held at the University of Liechtenstein.

The initiative was planned and organized by Hanna Fischer, a Young Scholar of IAK Culture Association and a student majoring in Economics and Finance at the University of Liechtenstein, together with her fellow students Amina Islamovic and Elias Strauch. Their efforts reflect the growing engagement of young academics in promoting public health awareness and social responsibility.

The event featured two distinguished medical experts from Switzerland: Dr. med. Ninel Schröder from Praxis Schröder am Rosenberg in St. Gallen, and Dr. med. univ. Wolfram Santner from Team Radiologie Plus in Chur. They delivered insightful presentations on early detection, risk factors, and preventive strategies for skin cancer and breast cancer. Drawing on clinical experience and real-life cases, the speakers emphasized the importance of sun protection, regular health screenings, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The lecture was met with strong engagement from students, who actively participated in discussions and raised thoughtful questions on personal health management and disease prevention. The event not only enhanced awareness among university students but also reinforced the importance of a proactive approach to health.

Located in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, the University of Liechtenstein is an internationally oriented institution known for its strengths in business, finance, and architecture. The event also served as a valuable example of collaboration between academic institutions and social organizations.

As an organization dedicated to fostering intercultural exchange and social development, the IAK Culture Association will continue to support impactful initiatives led by young scholars, promoting public health awareness and contributing to societal well-being.
