The "Siku Quanshu" is not just a monumental masterpiece of China but also a work of global significance. The "Wenjin Pavilion Siku Quanshu" (Collector's Edition), printed by the Commercial Press, is the only version housed outside China and is extremely precious. Its arrival in Switzerland is thanks to a generous and noble-hearted Chinese gentleman – Mr. Zhong Weihua. During his visit to the IAK Culture Association in Switzerland this summer, Mr. Zhong learned about our mission to promote traditional Chinese culture in Europe and was moved by our passion. Embodying the spirit of Mozi and chivalry, he made an immediate decision to donate this set to IAK.

Upon returning to China, Mr. Zhong promptly contacted the Commercial Press and personally communicated with the Zhonghua Book Company in Beijing to purchase this valuable collection. To ensure the "Siku Quanshu's" integrity and safety, he went to great lengths, sparing no expense to arrange air transportation, delivering the complete set to Switzerland for the IAK to treasure. This is more than a gift; it carries a weighty cultural responsibility.

The "Wenjin Pavilion Siku Quanshu" (Collector's Edition) primarily references three key sources: the "Essentials of the Siku Quanshu," the "Yongle Encyclopedia" compilation, and the "First Collection of Siku Quanshu Rare Books." It selects the finest content while eliminating duplicates and includes other significant documents of contemporary and future cultural value. These have been rigorously vetted by experts, ensuring their authenticity and importance. The collection comprises 728 works, including a concise catalog, 130 works in the Classics section (Jing), 71 in the History section (Shi), 234 in the Philosophers section (Zi), and 293 in the Literary Collections section (Ji). The complete work contains more than 10,000 volumes and over 100 million Chinese characters, arranged according to the "Wenjin Pavilion" edition of the "Siku Quanshu," published in 200 deluxe volumes in a four-in-one reduced format.
