Bern, September 21, 2025 — On a crisp autumn Sunday afternoon, Bern’s Waisenhausplatz was imbued with the rich spirit of the East. Hosted by the China Cultural Center in Bern and supported by the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland, the “Hello, China” Culture and Tourism Promotion (Bern Station) unfolded with grandeur, bringing together traditional Chinese art, music, dance, and cultural experiences to offer Swiss audiences a feast that bridged cultures and centuries.

伯尔尼，2025年9月21日 —— 在秋意渐浓的周日午后，瑞士首都伯尔尼的 Waisenhausplatz 广场洋溢着浓郁的东方风情。由伯尔尼中国文化中心主办、中国驻瑞士大使馆支持的 “你好!中国”文化和旅游推广活动（伯尔尼站） 盛大举行，活动汇聚了中国传统艺术、音乐、舞蹈与文化体验，为中瑞观众呈现了一场跨越时空的文化盛宴。

🎶 Music and Dance: Ancient Elegance Meets Modern Spirit

The professional performances of the Hangzhou Opera and Dance Theater received enthusiastic applause, with classic folk pieces such as Galloping Horses, Song of Joy at the Banquet, A Rainy Night in Yangzhou, and Tea-Picking Dance. The stage was alive with diverse performances, including Taiji Fan, Dai Dance In the Bamboo Grove, Xinjiang Dance A Cup of Fine Wine, the classical Umbrella Dance, and the youth hulusi rendition of Blue and White Porcelain, immersing the audience in the rhythms and grace of China’s cultural diversity.

Amid this vibrant atmosphere, the IAK delegation brought a moment of serenity with guqin performances:

• Pan Jing (IAK Director, inheritor of the Guangling School Intangible Heritage) played Drunken Fisherman’s Chant at Sunset, with pure and far-reaching tones evoking harmony between humanity and nature.

• Jian Geyang (President of IAK Association) joined Pan Jing in Moon over the Mountain Pass, with added chorus, expressing heartfelt emotions and a wish for world peace.

Their performances complemented the other programs, offering a graceful resonance of “ancient elegance and modern spirit.”

🎶 音乐与舞蹈：古韵今风交相辉映

杭州歌剧舞剧院的专业演出赢得了热烈掌声，民乐名曲《新赛马》《迎酒欢歌》《烟雨唱扬州》《采茶舞曲》轮番登场。舞台表演丰富多彩，包括太极扇、傣族舞《竹林深处》、新疆舞《一杯美酒》、古典伞舞，以及少年组葫芦丝演奏《青花瓷》，让观众沉醉在中国多元文化的律动与优雅之中。

在这样的多彩氛围中，IAK代表团以古琴演奏为舞台增添了一抹静雅：

• 潘晶（广陵派非遗传人、IAK理事）演绎古琴曲《醉渔唱晚》，琴声清远，传递出人与自然和谐共生的意境。

• 简歌扬（IAK协会主席）与潘晶合奏《关山月》，并加入合唱，以琴声寄托情怀，表达对世界和平的祝愿。

他们的演绎与其他节目相互辉映，展现了“古韵与今风”的交流与融合。

✍️ Cultural Experience: Harmony of Movement and Stillness

IAK Association offered a dedicated cultural experience segment:

• Cen Yang (IAK Council Member) performed live calligraphy, writing the character Dao (道), symbolizing the origin of Chinese culture and the principle of harmony between heaven, earth, and humanity — an enduring wisdom across the ages.

• In an interactive session, audiences wrote the character Fu (福), conveying wishes for world peace through brush and ink.

• Hands-on guqin practice and sachet-making invited Swiss participants to experience the elegance and warmth of Chinese traditions.

✍️ 文化体验：动静相生

IAK协会特别推出文化体验环节：

• 岑阳（IAK理事）现场书法表演，挥毫写下“道”字，寓意中华文化源于“道”，象征天地人和谐共生之道，也是贯通古今的东方智慧。

• 互动环节中，观众亲手书写“福”字，将祝福寄托纸墨之间，传递对世界和平的美好愿景。

• 古琴体验与香囊制作，让瑞士公众沉浸式感受中华文化的优雅与温度。

🌏 Cultural Promotion: Dialogue Between China and Switzerland

IAK young scholars presented in German, sharing the history and philosophy of the guqin to help local audiences appreciate its artistic depth. IAK President Jian Geyang further explained the guqin’s “heaven-earth-human” design and thousand-year legacy: crafted from nature, yet resonating with the human heart, symbolizing harmony with the cosmos.

IAK’s nine-member delegation included President Jian Geyang, Executive Director Mark Siegert, IAK Director for Guqin International Exchange Pan Jing, IAK Director for Cross-Cultural Arts Cen Yang, and IAK international young scholars:

• Cass (UK) — provided audio engineering support, ensuring the clarity and quality of live sound.

• Richard (Germany) — responsible for digital coordination and technical support.

• Hanna (Switzerland) — assisted with cultural dialogue and multilingual interpretation.

• Isabelle & Maria — supported stage management and event coordination.

Together, they embodied IAK’s mission — “West meets East, Ancient meets Modern.”

🌏 文化推广：中瑞对话

IAK青年学者代表用德语介绍古琴的历史与意境，帮助本地观众理解中国艺术精髓。IAK协会主席 简歌扬 更在现场讲述了古琴“天地人”的制作理念与千年传承：琴以天地为材、以人心为弦，寄托着人与自然和谐共生的哲思。

IAK本次派出9人代表团，包括协会主席 简歌扬、执行理事长 Mark Siegert、古琴国际交流理事 潘晶、跨文化艺术理事 岑阳，以及IAK国际青年学者：

• Cass（英国）——担任音频工程支持，确保现场声音清晰流畅。

• Richard（德国）——负责数字协调与技术支持。

• Hanna（瑞士）——协助文化对话与多语种交流。

• Isabelle与 Maria——支持舞台管理与活动协调。

他们以实际行动践行 IAK 的宗旨—— “观古今之通变，述中西之精要 West meets East, Ancient meets Modern.”

🌕 A Mid-Autumn Wish for Peace

Held on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the event carried the warmth of cultural exchange and festive spirit. IAK representatives quoted an ancient Chinese verse: “Though mountains may divide us, we share the same clouds and rain; the bright moon belongs to both our homes.” This expressed a universal wish for friendship and peace across borders.

🌕 中秋前夕的祝愿

活动在乙巳年中秋节前夕举行，现场弥漫着中瑞文化交融与节日的温情。IAK代表们引用古诗：“青山一道同云雨，明月何曾是两乡”，表达了跨越国界的友谊与和平祝愿。

The “Hello, China” Culture and Tourism Promotion not only showcased the richness of Chinese culture but also built a living bridge between East and West in the heart of Switzerland.
